I see way too many Christians compromising on the Word of God lately and totally misinterpreting what the Word means for their own stature and gain. I can’t understand how parading around in bikinis under the premise of “being happy with the body God gave me” as their excuse for blatantly showing more than our eyes need to see. The whole “we are living in modern times, we have to keep up with the modern ways” does not wash, the Word of God is the same now as it was 4000 years ago, it doesn’t change or alter state. Being ‘cool’ and ‘modern’ may get people to church but is it getting them saved.

Lets get one thing straight I am not perfect and definitely say ‘shit’ and ‘bloody’ more times than I should, but I say those words out of laziness, not out of the need to be ‘cool’. I feel like there is a culture of ‘cool Christians’ that are trying so hard to be ‘cool’ they are compromising their own integrity in Christ and God’s Word. There are far too many Christians thinking that reading devotions every day covers them from all the sin they know they will commit but “oh it’s ok I will repent and be forgiven so it’s all good”. While that is correct, God will only put up with that blatant misuse of his grace for so long.

Ladies, there is a lot going on in the world right now, a lot of horrible things, fights that have been designed to cause division and hate, people being killed because of the color of their skin, we must remember that God is the ONLY judge and His Word states in Deuteronomy 32:35;

Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;
Their foot shall slip in due time;
For the day of their calamity is at hand,
And the things to come hasten upon them.’

While we weep with our brothers and sisters being dealt unjustly we must remember the best thing we can do for them is pray, pray for the desired outcome, pray for forgiveness for those who mistreat others, don’t pray for harm to come to them because that is out of line with the Word of God. The Angels are waiting for us to pray the Word of God, they are waiting to be activated so they can get busy. Pray for salvation for people, pray for wisdom and knowledge for those in positions of authority, rebuke the spirits of destruction that are at work in our world, pray according to God’s Word and watch the power overcome every hopeless situation.

Christians, yes it’s time to stand and be heard, but God has a plan and that plan doesn’t include compromising on His Word. Before you do anything, make sure you are aligned with the Will of God and His Word.
